Dying Without a Will (intestate)

Dying without a will causes problems for those left behind especially in the case of second marriages:

Under age children become the responsibility of the Local Authority.
A married spouse only inherits everything if there are no children.
If there are children a married spouse may not inherit enough..
Children inherit in equal shares (no account is made of life time gifts).
Disputes cause delay and expense and bitterness.
If there are under age children of a former marriage their surviving parent may control the assets the children have inherited. This can be avoided.

Writing a Will is not a problem. Dying without a Will is.
